The 28-1/2 Hour Comedy Festival

Winter 2018 / The Stage Door
Directed by: Charlotte Taylor, Eric Levy, Thomas Schnaible, Christian Rushing

The 28-1/2 Hour Comedy Festival had its inaugural performance at The Stage Door Theatre in Plano, Texas in December 2018. The concept came from the idea of some of the 24-hour play festivals and weekend musicals that other performing arts groups had done and the fact that many of the actors who were interested in participating were incredibly busy in multiple shows. So, we met for 28-1/2 hours of rehearsal in the three days before our performances. The first act was selected 2-minute plays from Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind. The second act was a combination of comedy sketches and improv. Both shows sold out and we decided to make this a regular event!
