Theatre for everyone.
By everyone.

Where theatre comes to life.

The beginning

It all began with an idea in 2016. CenterStage was formed initially as a conservatory to serve Collin County and provide training and performance opportunities for youth. In 2018, the theatre took a break before deciding “what’s next?” Since the theatre community was significantly impacted by the pandemic, we see a need to help provide programming to connect actors and audience once again. In 2021 and 2022, our productions were primarily for college age and adult actors. In 2023, we began adding back our programs for teens and in 2024, will be creating programming for kids and families again.

The vision

We envision a thriving arts ecosystem where individuals can learn, grow, perform, and create within an inclusive environment. We are dedicated to celebrating both established and emerging artistic endeavors, providing a haven for creators to explore and share their talents. Our commitment extends to underserved communities in Collin County, offering artistic experiences and opportunities that bridge gaps and uplift diverse audiences. We want to empower the next generation of artistic leaders by connecting young talents with mentors and comprehensive training, while also creating pathways for seasoned artists to reach new audiences.

The future

Our first post-pandemic production, Peter and the Starcatcher, went up in July 2021 to a great response. We constantly are adding to each season with more opportunities for actors, directors, technicians, and more! Summer 2023 will be three shows and we look forward to adding a full season in 2024.
