Audition Info for GOOSEBUMPS: Phantom of the Auditorum
Horror fans Brooke and Zeke are thrilled to be starring in a mysterious show called The Phantom, and not the least bit frightened by the old legend that the play is cursed. But when strange, eerie messages start appearing and a masked menace starts disrupting rehearsals, they begin to wonder: what if there really is a ghost haunting their school, determined to stop the show? Prepare to get goosebumps as they race to solve the mystery in this thrilling, and chilling, new musical, based on the classic series by R.L. Stine.

BROOKE RODGERS — Female | Teen (13–15) | Must be 18+ | Lead
Sharp, enthusiastic, and endearingly chatty when nervous. Brave, a little anxious, and loves all things scary. Strong actor with good comic timing; will need chemistry with Zeke and Brian.
ZEKE MATTHEWS — Male | Teen (13–15) | Must be 18+ | Lead
Brooke’s best friend since kindergarten. Class clown, prankster, and self-proclaimed scary-stuff expert — despite not having actually read the play. Big personality, physical comedy, genuinely lovable.
BRIAN COLSON — Male | Teen (13–15) | Must be 18+ | Featured
The new kid from Indiana, quiet and kind, gets flustered around Brooke. Carries a major secret. Needs strong presence and the ability to play both sympathetic and mysterious. Sings “My Story.”
TINA POWELL — Female | Teen (13–15) | Must be 18+ | Featured
The understudy who desperately wants the lead. Conniving but competent — she basically runs the entire backstage operation. Comic villain energy with a song all her own. Sings “Understudy Buddy.”
ANNA — Female | Teen (13–15) | Must be 18+ | Supporting
Obsessed with clowns. Keeps suggesting clowns. There are no clowns. Recurring bit with great comedic payoff potential.
CAMI — Female | Teen (13–15) | Must be 18+ | Supporting
Screams on cue (literally listed as a special skill). Reactive and fun; great for physical comedy.
COREY — Either | Teen (13–15) | Must be 18+ | Supporting
Playing Brooke’s father in the show-within-a-show. Notes that playing a middle schooler’s dad while being in middle school is weird.
STEVE — Either | Teen (13–15) | Must be 18+ | Supporting
In the cast because he carpools with Corey. Dry, deadpan delivery with some of the best throwaway lines.
MS. WALKER — Female | 35+ | Featured
The drama teacher and descendant of the teacher from the original doomed production. Dry wit, a little scattered, secretly haunted by the legend. Leads “The Legend.”
EMILE — Male | 35+ | Featured The mysterious “night janitor” living in the sub-basement.
Gruff and intimidating at first, but ultimately sympathetic. Sings “My Home Sweet Home” and “Watch Your Step.”
ENSEMBLE/SWING — Female | Teen (13–15) | Must be 18+
Covers ensemble roles and supports the full company. Strong singers and movers who can adapt quickly and fill multiple tracks as needed.
ENSEMBLE/SWING — Male | Teen (13–15) | Must be 18+
Covers ensemble roles and supports the full company. Strong singers and movers who can adapt quickly and fill multiple tracks as needed.
